Postilion Mobile Banking

To enable banks and credit unions to provide mobile banking, we added the mobile banking self-service channel to our Postilion solution for banks and credit unions. With our Postilion product family, we offer an end-to-end solution for secure banking and transacting using mobile devices. Postilion technology is robust and scalable to very high transaction volumes. We have designed our mobile banking solution to co-exist with your current technology and banking infrastructure, leveraging off your current Postilion installation.

Features

Postilion enables secure, real-time payments from mobile phones and other wireless devices. Postilion for mobile banking can be deployed on different mobile technologies, including structured SMS, WIG, S@T, WAP, and Java client.

By using Postilion, banks and credit unions are able to offer their customers a number of services from a mobile phone or other mobile device (such as a PDA). Mobile banking transactions and services provided by the solution include the following:

  • Balance inquiries
  • Account transfers
  • Activity alerts

Postilion also makes various payments and purchases available from a mobile phone, such as:

  • Person-to-person payments
  • Prepaid airtime purchases
  • Prepaid electricity purchases
  • Bill payments

In addition, mobile enablement of plastic cards is supported, including switching a card on/off, linking a new card, and changing a PIN. By allowing your customers to serve themselves instead of needing to phone your call center, you can reduce operational expenses. These services can be deployed easily and incrementally so that banks and credit unions can build up their mobile banking offering over time.

Benefits

  • Generate revenue from transactions that were previously done in cash, by increasing the number of electronic transactions that your customers perform
  • Provide customers with a convenient and affordable way to transact securely
  • Target a population that may not have access to other electronic transacting channels
  • Present new business opportunities and new revenue streams from products that may traditionally not have been offered by a bank or credit union
  • Provide an always-on and connected self-service channel via mobile networks
