Project Responsibilities

Support Issues

  • Carry out all first and second level support tasks, ensuring that when an issue is moved to third level all this work has been completed and is available to the higher level of support including work around replicating the system and documenting the source of the issue. The SE will be the first point of contact for the customer in any technical support situation and be their primary contact at all times.
  • Maintain a site documentation, green book, for sites which s/he is assigned.
  • Ensure that issues are managed within agreed SLAs. No escalation of issues from clients to management.
Integration
  • Install, configure and support Windows, SQL Server, Postilion and related interfaces and applications.
  • Configure and troubleshoot disk sub-system configurations.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of all Postilion products with specific in depth knowledge as required on customer sites.
  • Adhere to change control requirements of both Postilion and the customer at all times.
  • Have a sound knowledge of TCP/IP.
EFT Knowledge
  • Sound knowledge of the ISO8583 protocol.
  • Working knowledge of terminal protocols.
Budgetary
  • Effectively track and record time.
Experience: At least 1 to 2 years of EFT experience would be beneficial.
Minimum requirements: Information Technology degree or 2 years Microsoft experience or MCSE.

The TSE is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing and documenting complex computer system and/or software issues and questions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, which must be performed satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned as needed:

  • Provide customer/technical support via phone and internet to external financial institutions.
  • Troubleshoot/Resolve customer problems of various complexities in a highly technical environment. Customer issues may be related to code defects, product configurations (files or data), networking, platform, third party communications, hardware configuration or other issues commonly encountered in systems operation in a networked environment.
  • Thoroughly document all research/conversations utilizing a case tracking system. Regularly update customer of ongoing troubleshooting and resolution efforts, as dictated by published guidelines based on issue severity.
  • Must be able to manage an individual open case queue, while being assigned new cases on a daily basis. May also receive escalated cases from customers or management, and must be able to prioritize accordingly.
  • Document and report product/application defects to Development team.
  • Escalate unresolved problems to the appropriate resources and departments in accordance with published guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external S1 customers.
  • Follow internal change control process to implement any required production modifications.
  • Assist with testing emergency product fixes received from Product Development/Level 3 Support, as needed.
  • May make data repairs in a production environment, requiring extreme care and attention to detail.
  • Participate in rotating 24x7 ?on call? support coverage for severity 1 issues.
  • May be required to train customers on product functionality as needed (normally groups no larger than three customers).
